Our team

Born at GBMC in Baltimore in 1971, Eric is a life long resident of Howard County. A Plus Carpet & Flooring was founded on the farm where he grew up, in 1999. The company grew to its current 17,000 +/- sqft facility located on Red Branch Road, which now employs over 45 people.

Eric is a hands-on owner that enjoys interacting with customers and is knowledgeable about how to install most types of flooring. This gives him a true understanding of which materials work best in their proper place.

Eric graduated from Mount Hebron High in Howard County and proceeded to Towson State University where he earned his BS in the school of business with a concentration in marketing.

He is also a licensed realtor in the state of Maryland, though he does not practice. Eric loves scuba diving and earned a Master Scuba Diver certificate from Columbia Scuba. He is also competitive in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and has competed in NYC, Miami and Brazil, receiving three championship gold medals including the 2019 DC Open.

Jessica Rome is the proud wife to owner, Eric Rome. This patient wife and hard working woman is also the mother of three adorable little ladies, the future of A Plus! Jessica says that she has greatly enjoyed watching their company grow over the years into a successful, thriving business.

What many may not know is that A Plus started out in the family’s home. Over the years, sales increased and new clients came on board, allowing them to relocate to a new facility. This new showroom will allow clients to have a more pleasurable experience while choosing their flooring needs.

Jessica is also proud of the team at A Plus because they are hardworking and amazing, and each and every one of them are 100% committed to their client’s needs. Jessica promises that you will find their entire staff a pleasure to deal with, and she looks forward to your business and seeing a smile on your face.
In her personal time, Jessica enjoys skydiving, taking vacations, spending time with her family, and working at A Plus Carpet and Flooring.

Timothy Gill works for A Plus Carpet and Flooring as a carpet cleaning technician, and says that A Plus is a great workplace full of incredibly nice people. Timothy says that he enjoys the feeling of teamwork at A Plus, and takes pride in the A Plus team’s ability to provide respectful, polite and helpful service to their clients.

He says that the A Plus team prides themselves on being extremely well- qualified and they know what they are doing, which allows them to provide accurate products and services to every one of their clients.

Timothy’s hobbies include playing a variety of sports, including baseball and football. He also enjoys spending time with his family when he is not hard at work. Timothy lives in Catonsville, Maryland where he has spent his entire life.
